HDR photography is one of the most popular tools in digital photography to increase the dynamic range in your photographs (the ability of your image to represent detail in the darkest shadows and the brightest highlights). In this workshop you will learn what conditions and subjects are best for HDR photography, how to bracket exposures for HDR, using Photoshop, and Photomatix Pro to create HDR images. Friday afternoon, we'll spend part of the time in class covering the background and shooting tips and tricks, then go out for some shooting on Historic 25th street in Ogden. Saturday morning, we will work on post processing the images we shot on Friday afternoon. We will use Photomatix Pro software and Adobe Photoshop CS5. We have both Mac and PC computers in our classroom, you may also feel free to bring your laptop computer to use. (A free trial of Photomatix Pro is available) Participants in this will also receive a 20% discount coupon for Photomatix. You will need a camrea that allows manual exposure and a tripod for the shooting portion of this class.
